Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software Layer
System Administration (site creation, server maintenance, upgrades, patches)
Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
Performance tuning / Server management of Tableau server environment (multi-node hybrid physical/virtual servers
Create/manage groups, workbooks, projects, database views, data sources and data connections
Manage and support migration/release management of solutions/products and server components
Provide appropriate training and support to business users and team for dashboard publishing
Partner with business and technical leadership to design Tableau KPI scorecards and dashboards
Manage and support extract development and maintenance in an automated environment
Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Tableau Platform
Work with Solution and Data Engineering to ensure optimal application and extract design to support reporting requirements
Skills required:
3+ years’ experience with Tableau Software (Creator/Explorer/Server) with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration
3+ years’ experience as a Tableau administrator, developing in and configuring/ administering a multi-node, extract based infrastructure
5-7 years’ experience in BI role working specifically with business community producing analytical reports/dashboards
5-7 years’ experience with BI tools including ETL, Data Warehousing, other BI tools
3+ years’ experience in Tableau Scripting (TABCMD/TSM)
3+ years’ experience architecting stable Tableau solutions for high availability and disaster recovery
5-7 years’ experience working with both relational databases (SQL Server/Postgres) and Big Data
3+ years’ experience in Tableau Platform Sizing, troubleshooting and tuning
3+ years’ experience with Tableau Metadata tables and developing metadata based analytics
3+ years’ experience with analysis of medium to large, complex of vague business/technical problem and translate analysis into viable solution recommendations
3+ years’ experience in Agile development methodologies (scrum/Kanban)
