Caremotto

Started by a surgeon, Dr. Niranjan, founder of Caremotto, noticed that despite the number of healthcare and health tech platforms, there still was a clear requirement for a platform that helps patients discover the best hospitals and procedures for surgeries at guaranteed prices. Caremotto is India’s first dedicated portal where patients can learn about and schedule surgical procedures at exclusive network of partner hospitals.

OMitra

Started by Vikas Jagetiya, after a particularly harrowing journey, OMitra is a unique Indian rail social app, aiming to solve most of the common problems that a train traveler may face. After you reserve your ticket on IRCTC and receive an SMS, the app identifies the SMS and sets everything up for the passenger: it tracks the train, finds co-passengers, creates reminders prior to your journey and lets you know if you have been confirmed from your position on the waiting list. It also does real-time tracking of the train.

Tourity

After a particularly bad trip to Konark, Anoop Munshi started Tourity, realizing the need for a travel portal that could help travelers connect with tour operators, fellow travelers and get access to travel itineraries. Working as a peer-to-peer marketplace, Tourity ensures that every traveler gets to choose between a wide range of trusted choices.
Using technology, Tourity provides travelers with accommodation help, tour package with hosts, transportation, food and an on-the-go digital travel guide as a personal navigator.

Orvoz

Started this year by Ramesh Mudunuri, Orvoz is a patient-engagement platform to address the gap in interactions between doctors and patients. Looking at this problem, Ramesh decided to build Orvoz, a cloud-based platform that claims to provide efficient patient care, whether it is building awareness, going through historical records, consulting with outpatients or even regular checks.

Healthsutra

Sai Krishna thought of making people realize that we have forgotten the health and nutritional value of ingredients like jowar, millet and barley. With changing lifestyles, most people inclined towards junk food, lead sedentary lifestyles that cause heart and diabetics related complications. With his three-year-old startup HealthSutra, Sai decided to make healthy food options, like barley or millet flakes, to promote a healthier lifestyle.

Kahaniya

The idea of Kahaniya came to Pallav Bajjuri and Devendra Gona, who found it difficult to find good Telugu literature/stories online. Looking at this issue, Devendra and Pallav realized that there were a number of people who wrote stories in regional languages but were lost.  To regain stories in regional languages, Kahaniya has stories, poems and short fiction work of different regional language authors.

eKincare

eKincare is a digital platform that facilitates users to monitor their medical information and history and view it anywhere at any time. Founded by Kiran Kalakuntla, the platform offers technology that collects all the medical results from various healthcare providers, updates profiles and provides a single repository for users to store all their healthcare episodes. It also identifies potential health risks from the data and provides a personalized health plan to beat those risks.

Hello Curry

Hello Curry is a Hyderabad based QSR (quick service restaurant) chain for Indian cuisine. The startup was founded by Raju Bhupati in 2014. Hello Curry presently has 31 outlets and plans to expand in Pune, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada. It also has plans to open microformat kiosks under the Hello Paratha brand, a product line that was started after the acquisition of food chain Paratha Post.

Commut

Commut was founded in 2015 by Prasanth Garapati, Hemanth Jonnalagadda and Sandeep Kachavarapu. It is a technology-based minibus shuttle service for daily office goers. The startup offers its shuttle services across 50 routes in Hyderabad. It enables users to book a seat via its phone app, in any of its high frequency operating, air conditioned mini buses at affordable prices.

MyDentistChoice

MyDentistChoice founded by P Sivaprasad is part of Hyderabad-based startup incubator T-Hub. It claims to have a customer base of 3,00,000 dentists and 500 dental colleges. Its clients include Apollo White Dental, Denty’s, and Partha Dental.

Endless Robotics

Endless Robotics is founded in April 2015 by five 5 engineers from BITS Pilani & IIIT Hyderabad. It is a commercial robotics startup, working on a series of automation products for decorative painting in the construction and real estate development space and aims to solve the lack of innovation in the painting industry.
Endless Robotics is estimating the size of the total addressable market for painting jobs in India at $3.6 billion, of which a third is in the major cities of the nation. The startup has recently raised a pre-seed fund of $100,000.

Medinfi

om: 15px;"> Medinfi, an online source that helps create pure-play contact platform for helping users in choosing the right doctors and hospitals through genuine and trustworthy information, was started by ex-Amazon employees. It’s backed by 10+ reputed angel investors through 4 different rounds of funding so far.
The Medinfi app which is using content play to build up its user base already has approximately 5000 downloads and is available in major cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, NOIDA, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. It has a huge database of about 7000 verified doctors and hospitals. This year, the startup has raised 1 crore from the investors.

TinMen

Tinmen, a tech-enabled food delivery startup, started in August 2015 by Mukesh and Chaitanya, offers home cooked lunches to working professionals via their app (Android & IOS). They delivery over 8000 lunches and targets to delivery 40,000 lunches per month. They recently raised angel funding.

ZIFY

The founder and CEO Anurag’s decision to provide carpooling services generated enough traction with more than 1lac downloads of the app. ZIFY talks about unique prediction algorithm for easy carpooling.

Nowfloats

Nowfloats made setting up portal and lead generation for small vendors easy with its technology. They bagged a good number of happy customers. Founder and CEO: Jasminder Singh Gulati.

Zippr

Founded by Aditya Vuchi, Zippr – a company which is trying to solve the location finding problem by giving a unique code for each house. It also partnered with GHMC. The breakthrough came-in when Dominos integrated their solution for delivering pizzas.

Mydreamstore

The founder Karthik, introduced this printed T-Shirt startup which made a mark by creating virality among teens and college goings. It has quite a success in converting the youngsters as their customers.

Paynear

Paynear is a payment solution provider, enabling individuals & businesses of all sizes to easily manage their payment activities. Its omnichannel package consists of mPOS solution, CRM and payment gateway; designed to simplify payment processing and complement the mPOS ecosystem.

Violetstreet

Lately, Hyderabad has seen very less number of startups in eCommerce space. Violetstreet is a marketplace for designers and boutiques and claims to be the largest in a number of Boutiques.

Ozonetel

Ozonetel is a cloud telephony platform and simplifies the telephony infrastructure. It has got top notch customers across all the business segments.
With the launch of T-hub and increased focus by the various stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, Hyderabad is all set to revive itself. However, the Hyderabad startup ecosystem still needs to compete with Bengaluru and Delhi NCR, which have deeper pockets and more funding.
Tom Thomas, COO, CIE Hyderabad believes that currently the Hyderabad startup ecosystem has all the key ingredients in place, but still needs a catalyst to create a booming ecosystem.
